Evaluation

1.
On my products I made sure that there was a clear campaign connection between the products. On everything we did we included the logo on the posters, leaflets and all the leaflets. This makes the organisation more memorable which will hopefully lead to them recognising our work simply from looking at the logo. The slogan appears on both of my posters which makes it clear that they are both linked and part of the same campaign.
However I have realised that I haven't included it on the leaflet although I do think it is fairly obvious they are linked. On both posters I have used the same person for my images, my sister. I think by using the same person it will help to create them as almost the face for the organisation and this will make her recognisable. I think my contact details are fairly limited with it just saying search piracy busters on facebook but I still think it's fairly effective.

I have used the same target audience for all our products, I think it's clear as a boy will be more attracted to look at a poster with a girl on the front as he will it more attractive. Also our tv adverts appeal to what we believe teenage boys like the most, action with some comedy in it but we still manage to get our point across meaning we can hopefully stop them streaming and downloading films and music e.t.c..

I think I have done an effective job of meeting the brief as I think I have raised awareness about illegally downloading material using cross media so we can cover as much as our target audience as we possibly can.

2.
The brief asked for us to use a crowd sourced campaign to try and get young people to understand copyright theft is real theft and that we needed to create multiple media products.

I think we did really good research into our target audience of young people, specifically young teenage males we did surveys to try and delve into our target audience as much as we possibly could in order to make sure our campaign met there needs adequately.

My products match the brief exactly as we made multiple different uses of  media adverts, posters, leaflets using our creative minds but also designed to target young people especially.

I am confident that we followed the brief well and whenever we could we referred to the brief.

4.
The age for our target audience would be somewhere between 13-16 as this is the age we think we need to target most. Also the gender will be male and we think this because we believe download and stream more than girls. We think the class of our target audience will be C2 this is because C1 and above will be so wealthy that they can simply buy as many DVD's or as many albums as they want. There interests will probably include films and music as if they are willing to break the law to watch and listen to it they must watch and listen to a lot of it. They may have a lot of spare time on the hands which leads them to want to spend it doing something they enjoy doing, if they have a busy schedule they would spend what little spare time they had on something more important probably.

Our audience has a profile of liking to watch action films for the thrill but also enjoying a comedy film as they are relaxing and enjoyable to watch.

So in order to meet them we made it so there would be action as they find it thrilling with our chase scenes however the whole scheme of the TV adverts is quite comical which makes it funny to watch which therefore means they will find it more attractive to watch.

We originally did surveys to see what our target audience found the most pleasant to watch which was action and comedy films which is why these two themes figure so heavily in order to make it suit the audience.

We used survey monkey and got everyone in our class and friends to fill it in we then had enough people to make sure the results were representative of the target audience and that's how we learnt what people like such as TV adverts what they like to feature in them comedy.

5.
The people who feature in the products are me and my group member George in the TV advert and my sister Kiera in my posters. In the TV adverts it is all filmed in our school but just in different locations staircases e.t.c. They are all represented in quite a neutral way except when we venture on to the playground which we use a railing as a substitute in for a prison cell which is presented in a negative way in order to make the teenagers not want to end up there. The only women is in my posters which is my sister who is looking at piracy as a negative thing in order to influence people to think the same way. She is not depicted as a lesser being but in fact a better one. As I'm an officer in the TV adverts I would be an adult whereas Max is considered a youth and that's why he is the criminal which is depicting youths as the bad guys at the moment which will make them want to change this image. There is a lot of music used in the adverts when the chase is about to begin there is tense high tempo music used to get the audience ready for the thrill but when it begins it uses more comedic music to help add in the comedy side. Also there is a section at the end of each advert which shows me reading some scary facts about piracy to make sure the audience is getting the message.

6.
Our group was very organised we did it on google drive which allowed us all to work on the same presentation at the same time meaning that we could all do different work at the same time whilst it all stayed together. We planned to do all the research in order and then when it came to us doing the video together we planned the script and the locations and then we just went out and did it. When I first designed the layout for my first poster I didn't like it so I edited it until I thought it was actually suitable. I thought my timing was pretty good and I had time to do everything I needed to.

7.
We would need permission from the ASA in order to be allowed to broadcast our adverts however there is nothing inappropriate in them so I think they'd be allowed. I think we would advertise them on comedy central as this is a channel that's watched by a lot of teenagers as they enjoy comedy between 5-9 pm on weekdays and all day at weekends as this is when they're most likely to watch the TV.

8.
I think as a group we worked fairly well and I'd say overall we all put in a fairly similar amount of effort in to the work. With the research I did work on the powerpoint as did the rest of my group simultaneously not just in class if I didn't finish something I was working on in class I would make sure to finish it at home. In regards to planning I helped think up the logo whilst someone else did the logo I cam up with potential filming areas as well as doing the storyboard and working with George on the script for the TV advert. In regards to production I did my posters and leaflets  myself and with the adverts I played one of the main characters writing my own facts and learning then and once we had it perfect I helped with the editing ad did the rest of the group to make it even better. In the presentation I wrote both scripts for both presentations for everyone whilst others worked on the presentation I then read an equal amount in the presentations, so I feel I pulled my own weight.

9.
I feel a lot went well I feel I chose my group well all hard working people we planned well and made full use of every lesson in order to make sure we completed all work to the appropriate deadlines. Also I felt as we are all confident speakers it shone through in our presentations as even though we were in front of a fair few people we weren't shaken and delivered detailed presentations. We looked at advice and made  sure to change things people didn't like.

10.
I feel as though my posters could be a bit better as I feel they don't look quite as professional as they could do this being down to me working on a lot of subjects at the same time, although this is no excuse. I think, even though I had plenty of time I think I should have started earlier which would have meant work wouldn't have piled up as much as it did.
